ZERO
The Shooting Sports Platform
Manage firearms, track scores, enter competitions and run your club — all in one place. Built for competitors, clubs and event organisers across the UK.
Shooting club management software, built for how UK clubs actually work
Most shooting clubs in Britain run on a spreadsheet of members, a separate spreadsheet of certificate expiry dates, a shared inbox, a paper range book and whatever the secretary keeps in their head. It works right up until the secretary steps down, the treasurer needs last year’s figures for the AGM, or someone realises a member has been shooting on a certificate that expired two months ago.
Zero replaces that with one system. Members keep their own shoot log, armoury records and certificates in the app. Clubs get a portal for membership, committee meetings, documents, waiting lists, payments and finances, credential verification, range fault reports and training administration. Competition organisers get squadding, a range officer dashboard, disqualification tracking, briefings and a run book for the day itself. Because the shooter and the club are on the same platform, the club is not re-keying information the member already entered.
The platform is organised into eight modules covering personal shooting records, the armoury, competitions, community, club management, competition operations, team captaincy and a dealer hub. Zero runs in any browser, with an iOS and iPad app for the parts you need on the firing point.

Who Zero is for
A club is not one job. The person keeping the accounts, the person running Sunday’s competition and the person trying to beat last month’s average all need something different from the same set of records.
Shooters
Log every range session, track scores and averages over time, and keep an eye on your classifications. Your armoury, ammunition stock, handload recipes and accessories live alongside the log, so load development and results are in the same place. Certificates and club cards go in a digital wallet, and the shoot log and armoury are available on iOS as well as the web.
Club secretaries and committees
Run membership, the waiting list and applications from one portal. Schedule committee meetings and keep minutes and documents with them, track subscriptions and payments against the club's finances, verify member credentials, and log range fault reports so nothing gets lost between one work party and the next.
Range officers and competition organisers
Squad shooters into details and relays, work through a competition day against a shared run book, publish safety briefings, and record scores from a range officer dashboard as the relay shoots. Disqualifications are recorded against the event rather than remembered afterwards, and results and rankings publish from the same data.
Team captains
Keep your teams, squad selections and fixture calendar together, so picking a side for the next match is based on recorded scores rather than recollection.
Coaches and training officers
Build training programmes, assign them to probationers and members, set quizzes and track who has completed what. For a club that has to demonstrate a member has been trained and assessed before signing anything, that record matters.
Built around UK firearms compliance
This is where generic membership software runs out of road. A UK shooting club is not just collecting subscriptions — it is holding certificate details, evidencing attendance, verifying credentials and answering to a licensing regime that a general-purpose club tool knows nothing about. Zero is built for that from the ground up.
Certificate expiry, tracked before it becomes a problem
Firearm and shotgun certificates are stored with their expiry dates and flagged as they approach renewal, with reminders raised at 90, 60 and 30 days out. A five-year certificate is easy to forget about for four and a half of those years, and a lapsed one takes a member off the range.
Certificates scanned on your own device
Certificate details are captured on-device rather than being uploaded to a third-party scanning service. Certificate numbers, conditions and expiry dates are among the most sensitive data a shooter holds, and they are treated that way.
Credentials the club can actually verify
Clubs can check member certificates and qualifications rather than taking them on trust, and see where one credential depends on another — so it is obvious when an expiry further up the chain is about to invalidate something below it.
Home Office approved clubs, marked as such
Club records hold Home Office approval details, and the club directory can be filtered to approved clubs. For a prospective member without a certificate, that distinction determines whether a club can offer them supervised shooting at all.
Training and probation on record
Training programmes, assignments and probationer progress are recorded in the club portal, so the evidence behind a countersignature or a sign-off exists somewhere other than a committee member's memory.
Security that matches the data
Multi-factor authentication is mandatory for every account with no opt-out, data is encrypted in transit and at rest, row-level security governs who can see what, and full data export and deletion are available under GDPR.
Zero is a record-keeping and administration platform, not a licensing authority. Certificates are issued and renewed by your police force, and approvals by the Home Office — Zero keeps the club’s and the member’s side of that record straight.
